Hurtigruten Group Chief Financial Officer Transition

Today, Hurtigruten Group AS ("HRG" or the "Company") announced that Torleif Ernstsen has decided to resign from his position effective, June 30th, 2023 and that James McArthur will succeed him as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company.

“I am immensely grateful for my time at Hurtigruten Group. It has been exciting and rewarding, both personally as well as professionally over the last six years. I am very proud of helping the company become a leader in sustainable, adventure travel and while I cannot join the next phase of its’ journey, led out of London, I will follow its’ success, closely” said, Torleif Ernstsen.

Ernstsen will remain in his role through June 30th and join Carnegie Investment Banking as Managing Director out of Oslo, Norway in August 2023.

His capital markets, strategic and financial expertise has been important to helping us deliver on our ambitions and as our group executive management team transitions to London, he will be missed” said, Daniel Skjeldam, CEO Hurtigruten Group.

Succeeding Torleif Ernstsen will be James McArthur as CFO, Hurtigruten Group AS. James brings over thirteen years of corporate finance, accounting, business planning and investor relations experience within a Private Equity environment to the company with his most recent position as CFO, GenesisCare based in Dallas, Texas. Prior to his time in the US, James served in various roles across Europe for GenesisCare including as European CFO and UK General Manager leading the country unit operations. Before GenesisCare James worked as a private equity focused Investment Banker with UBS AG in Sydney, Australia. James McArthur holds a B.A. from Saint Louis University (US) and Master of Finance from The University of Melbourne (Australia).
